WASHINGTON, DC (Oct. 31) - A powerful offense which blasted 21 shots, led by sophomore Tiffany Williams (Sykesville, MD/Liberty), who scored her third goal in two matches, propelled the George Washington women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory against Temple on Sunday afternoon.

GW struck first in the 36th minute as freshman Pra Patamasucon (Knoxville, TN/Baylor) scored unassisted. The match remained 1-0 until the 67:43 mark when Williams netted her third goal in two contests, with the assist credited to freshman Caroline Donaghue (St. Catharines, Ontario/Denis Morris), her fourth of the season. Senior Katy McQuillin closed her GW career with a goal in the 82nd minute off of a corner kick from sophomore Erin Coppedge (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's). McQuillin's goal ties her for 15th among all-time GW scorers (34 points).

For the match, GW outshot Temple, 21-4. Sophomore goalkeeper Shannon Ashfield (Scarborough, Ontario/Bethune Collegiate) recorded her third shutout of the season. The Colonials finish the season 3-15-1, 3-7-1 in Atlantic 10 play. Williams was the team's leading scorer with 12 points (five goals, two assists).
