The Dukes' Kate Matuszewski posted the game winner in the 26th minute off Abbie Burns for a 1-0 lead. Burns began the second half quickly scoring the second goal of the day in the 46th minute. She concluded the match with an assist from her corner kick to Kristen Barr for the third and final score of the match.
Junior Michelle Guna made six saves on 11 shots while freshman keeper Kristin Scharphorn posted one save on four shots. The Colonials' Shannon Ashfield faced 14 shots allowing three goals in the loss.
