In her first season, Ferancova helped the Colonials post an 11-10 overall record - finishing above the .500 mark for the first time since the 2014 season. Ferancova helped coach three A-10 All-Conference honorees.
A Lucenec, Slovakia, native, Ferancova came to GW after serving as assistant coach at the University of Albany for the 2015-16 season, helping the Great Danes win their first ever America East crown to advance to the NCAA Tournament. Ferancova helped develop the conference's Player and Rookie of the year - Jovana Kenic - in the program's final season.
Prior to her stint at UAlbany, Ferancova spent the 2014-15 season as a volunteer assistant coach for Mississippi State University.
Ferancova graduated from Mississippi State University in 2015 after earning SEC All-Academic honors twice in her three-year career. Ferancova was also a two-time ITA Scholar Athlete, a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and a four-time President's Scholar.
Ferancova is working toward a master's degree in applied economics while at GW.
