2016-17 Season: Rowed bow seat of the third varsity eight that placed sixth in the second-level final at the Eastern Sprints Regatta (5:56.464) to finish 12th overall...at the IRA Regatta, the boat placed third in the third-level final (5:57.447) for a national ranking of 15th...IRA All-Academic Team.
Summer 2016: Stroked the second varsity four that raced the Visitors' Challenge Cup at the 2016 Henley Royal Regatta in Henley-on-Thames, England, GW's first appearance in the international regatta
2015-16 Season: Stroked the second varsity eight that placed second in the third-level at the Eastern Sprints Regatta (5:57.147) to finish 14th overall. Stroked the first varsity eight that placed sixth in the third-level final for a national ranking of 18th.
2014-15 Season: Stroked the second varsity eight that placed third in the third-level final at the IRA Regatta (5:54.049) for a final national ranking of 15th.
High School/Club: Captain of Sarasota Crew in 2013 and 2014 under Casey Galvanek and Caitlynn Crouch ...five-time Florida State Champion...sat five seat of National Champion Men's Youth Eight in 2013...Men's Youth Eight earned silver in 2012 and bronze in 2014...placed second in Youth Four at 2013 Head of the Charles Regatta.
Personal: Born Maddux Jay Castle on 05/04/1996... son of Jennifer and Jay Castle... one sister, Lillian, and one brother, Jaager, who played baseball at UCF... attended Pine View School...enjoys reading and naps... intended major is International Affairs with a History minor.
