2018-19: Sat stroke seat of the 3V8 that placed sixth (7:36.719) in the Petite Final at Eastern Sprints to qualify for IRAs … rowed five seat of the 3V8 at IRAs, helping GW to a third place finish (6:08.284) in the Third-Level Final to finish with a national ranking of 15th.
2016-17 Season: Rowed six seat of the second varsity eight for the whole season that swept the 2017 George Washington Invitational and defeated Columbia and Navy... won the second-level final at the Eastern Sprints Regatta (5:42.980) to finish 7th overall...at the IRA Regatta, Burns helped the boat to a sixth-place finish in the second-level final (6:03.446) for a national ranking of 12th... IRA All-Academic Team.
2015-16 Season: Sat six seat of the freshman eight that placed fourth at Princeton Chase behind Cal, Harvard, and Cornell, and went undefeated in spring competition... sat five seat of the fourth varsity eight throughout the spring that finished sixth overall at the Eastern Sprints Regatta (6:12.925).
High School/Club: Captain of St. Joseph's Prep as a senior... rowed at National Scholastic Rowing Association (NSRA) Nationals as a member of Saint Joseph's Prep's Varsity 8, earning a bronze medal in 2014 and a silver medal in 2015 ... two-time First Team All-Catholic League selection for varsity eight in both 2014 and 2015 ... helped team to three consecutive Catholic League Championships (2013-15) ... won silver medal (JV8, 2013) and gold medal (V8, 2015) at Philadelphia City Championship Regatta ...
