Dan Kane is in his second year as a volunteer assistant coach with George Washington Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track. He plays a key role in alumni relations, community outreach and development.
Kane was a member of GW Cross Country from 2008 until graduating in 2012 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Kane served as captain during the 2011-2012 season and was the recipient of the 1st Annual "Georgey" Award for Community Service (Male Athlete) in recognition of leading the program to completing over 330 hours of community service.
Since graduating from GW, Kane has been attending law school at the Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law, concentrating his studies in the field of intellectual property. Kane expects to graduate in May 2015.
Kane is originally from Lagrangeville, NY and attended Arlington High School, running both cross country and track. Kane's parents, William and Constance, and his brother, James, still live in Lagrangeville. Kane's sister, Christina, is currently studying at the University of Hartford
