Lacrosse Defeats Radford, 17-7

Radford, Va.-Â Once again showing its balanced and efficient offense, the GW lacrosse team routed the Radford Highlanders on Saturday, 17-7.
Leading the team to victory was senior Grace Curry who netted seven goals to match her career high set last season and come within one of the program's record in single-game goals. Curry's offensive efficiency has also placed her atop the NCAA leaderboard in goals per game.Â
As a team, The Buff & Blue out-shot the Highlanders, 41-13. The Revolutionaries put down 11 goals in the contest's middle two quarters, and defensively, limited the hosts to no more than three goals per quarter. Individually, Parker Febo registered a hat trick, and Mia Milkowski (2), Maggie Pond (2), Daisen Iwan (1), Mimi Walters (1) and Mckenna Jacobs (1) each got on the board for GW. Feeding the attack was Milkowski, who tallied three assists, in addition to Febo with two and Iwan, Curry, Jacobs and Kiki Rotay who each notched one assist.
Defensively, Pond led the way with four ground balls, in addition to Rotay and Iwan who combined for four of the team's eight caused turnovers. Gabi Greth earned three saves in net for GW.Â
Up next, the Revolutionaries will match up with Mount Saint Mary's on the road. Action in Emmitsburg, Md. is slotted for 1 p.m. next Wednesday on ESPN+.Â
