GW lacrosse is set for two non-conference matchups this week in its final week before beginning the conference slate. The Revolutionaries will first travel to Emmitsburg, Md. on Wednesday to face Mount Saint Mary's before heading back to Washington to host Charlotte at The Vern. Both of this week's contests are slated for 1 p.m. and will be carried on ESPN+.Â
OFF TO A HOT START
For the second-consecutive season, George Washington is off to a 4-0 start after most recently defeating crosstown rival American at The Vern and earning a big 17-7 road win over Radford.
Senior Grace Curry solidified her spot atop the NCAA leaderboard in the win at Radford, matching her career-high with seven goals to now average an NCAA-leading 5.50 goals per game.
GW's first-year class continues to shine within the A-10, and for the third time in as many weeks, the GW Revs collected another Rookie of the Week accolade on Monday as first-year Parker Febo was recognized by the league for her exceptional performances in both of last week's wins. Febo netted four in the win over American and a hat trick in the win over Radford in addition to two assists in each contest to finish the week with 11 points.
A GLANCE AT THE COMPETITION
The Mountaineers of Mount Saint Mary's are 1-2 on the year, having beat A-10 member Duquesne, 19-13, and having most recently fallen to Lafayette on the road.
The Charlotte 49ers are 1-3 and will host the Campbell Camels for a midweek matchup before heading to the District.Â
