WASHINGTON- GW lacrosse came out on top in Wednesday's intracity matchup, earning a 15-10 win over American at The Vern. This marks the second consecutive 3-0 start for the GW Revs and the first win over American since 2022.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- The Buff & Blue got ahead early, outscoring the visitors 6-2 in the opening frame and 5-3 in the second quarter to take a steady lead at the break, 11-5.

- The Eagles gained momentum in the second half and put up five additional goals, four of which came in the fourth quarter, but GW's steady defense was able to thwart the visitor's attempt at a comeback and seal the win for the Revolutionaries, 15-10.
A GLANCE AT THE NUMBERS

- GW's attack was once again led by senior Grace Curry, who netted five goals, and by first-years Mia Milkowski and Parker Febo, who each chipped in four apiece. Maggie Pond and McKenna Jacobs each got on the board as well.

- Febo, Milkowski and Kiki Rotay combined for GW's six assists.

- In the draw circle, Stella Ray and A-10 Rookie of the Week Daisen Iwan combined for nine of GW's 13 draw controls.

- On defense, Ray and Parker Cranz each picked up two ground balls and the defensive cohort combined for four caused turnovers.

- In goal, Gabi Greth made the start and played all 60 minutes, earning nine saves.
