WASHINGTON – The George Washington tennis team was selected sixth in the 2026 Preseason Coaches Poll. The Buff & Blue received 81 points out of the 12-team field.
VCU claimed the top spot with six first-place votes and 132 total points. The Rams, who won the 2025 A-10 Championship a season ago as the five-seed, are off to a 3-2 start, with wins over Temple, Longwood and Morgan State. Fordham claimed five first-place votes and 126 total points, while Richmond (122 points) and Rhode Island (100 points) followed close behind.
GW is 2-2 on the young season under the direction of first-year Head Coach Jackie Calla.
