NOTES FROM THE HOME OPENER
GW picked up its first win of the season in Sunday's home opener, defeating Binghamton, 3-1, in front of a large crowd at the GW Soccer Field. Babacar Fall and Louis Crofts had the goals for GW, while Tom Macauley earned the win in net after making five saves.
Fall's goal in the ninth minute gave the Revolutionaries an early lead to play behind. Crofts scored in the 59th minute to give GW a cushion, before icing the game in the 76th minute with his second goal just after Binghamton had cut into the lead.
First-years Omar Alsabagh, Joel Russ and Connor Russ each notched their first career collegiate points on Sunday, as all three picked up assists.
