Track Sends Four to Finals on Day One of Outdoor Championships

Fairfax, Va.- The GW track team sent four student-athletes to Sunday's finals of the A-10 outdoor championships on Saturday afternoon on the campus of George Mason University.
Hadley Mahoney earned the team's first bid to the finals in the women's 1500m, earning her spot with a 4:29.43 finish, second overall. On the men's side, Michael Bohlke also advanced to the 1,500m finals in 3:58.14, 11th overall in the field of 38. Dami Oyatayo continued to see success in the 400m dash, earning a program-record in 55.84. With a seventh-place finish, Oyatayo also earned a spot in tomorrow's finals. Nic Rodgers earned the Buff & Blue's fourth qualifying spot in the men's 800m, racing to the finish in 1:52.50 to finish fourth overall in the field.
Competing in the finals, Joe Fahrney raced in the 3k steeplechase, earning 13th place overall with a 9:26.89 finish.
Tomorrow, the GW Revs will begin the second day of the A-10 Championships at 9:15 a.m. as Ashley Robinson and Olivia Syftestad compete in the women's 10k. At 11:00 a.m., Madison Hardamon, Olivia Clark, Janae Russell and Kamryn Holness will then compete in the 4x100m relays. Finals for the four qualifiers will follow, and the afternoon will conclude with the men's and women's 5k and three additional relays.
