Tennis Falls in Opening Round of A-10 Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. – The George Washington tennis team fell in the opening round of the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship to Dayton, concluding the Revolutionaries' season.
The Flyers earned the doubles point, capturing a 6-4 win in the first flight and a 6-2 victory in the second flight to take a 1-0 lead.
Dayton secured the victory with wins in first, second, and fifth singles. Despite the loss, Karen Verduzco held a 3-2 lead in the third set of her third singles match. Solange Skeene and Katya Balin also saw their matches go unfinished as well.
Alejandra Ramirez concludes her senior season with six wins in singles play and eight victories in doubles action, both of which are career-highs for the four-year member of the Buff & Blue. Solange Skeene led the program with nine singles wins in 2025, while the two combined for the best doubles record (8-4) of any pair for GW this year.
