WASHINGTON -Â Matched up with the A-10 powerhouse Massachusetts Minutewomen for the final time as A-10 foes, GW lacrosse was dropped 15-6 by the visitors at the Vern on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors shut out GW 6-0 in the second stanza to claim an 8-1 lead at the intermission.
In the third, GW added goals from Everly Kessler, Grace Curry and Stella Ray, but UMass added five more. In the final 15, the Minutewomen notched two more while Kessler added another for GW, resulting in the 15-6 defeat at the hands of the visitors.
Glancing ahead, the Buff & Blue head to Rhode Island to face the Rams in their inaugural season on Wednesday afternoon. Opening draw is slated for 11 a.m.
