CASTRO NAMED A-10 CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rafael Castro dominated in GW's pair of blowout victories last week, averaging 17.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 2.5 apg and 2.5 spg in only 21.2 minutes per game, while shooting 77% from the floor. He tallied 15 points, eight boards and career-best five assists Wednesday vs. AU before tallying his first 20-point game of the year (9th career) on Saturday vs. ODU, adding nine rebounds.
Castro has posted double figures in three straight games and averaged 16.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 2.3 apg and 2.3 spg during the stretch. For the season, Castro is one of just four players nationally averaging at least 14 points per game while playing less than 19 minutes per contest.
