Mitchell Earns A-10 Performer of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON -Â After an outstanding performance at the Big East Preview, junior Sarah Mitchell has earned A-10 Performer of the Week Honors, the conference office announced Wednesday.Â

Mitchell, a previous All-Conference honoree, tallied a first-place finish with a 5K time of 17:29 at the Big East Preview. Mitchell's stellar performance helped lead GW to a first-place team finish over Georgetown. This time was also a new personal record for Mitchell, and clocks in as the fourth fastest in school history.Â
The GW men's and women's cross country team will be back in action this Saturday, Sept. 7, when they compete in Navy Invitational. The event has a tentative start time of 9 a.m. in Annapolis, Md.
