Cross Country Competes at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

State College, Pa. – Seven GW men and seven GW women competed in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday afternoon, with the men earning a 10th place finish out of 27 team entries in the 10k and the women tallying a 17th place finish out of 30 teams. HOW IT HAPPENED
Starting the day off in the women's 6k, Sarah Mitchell led the Buff & Blue, racing to a 54th overall finish with a time of 21:14.3. Just behind Mitchell were Megan Churchill and Hadley Mahoney, clocking in at 21:50.4 and 21:50.6 respectively. The rest of the GW Revs finished as follows: Julia Shanes, Amelia Ogawa, Olivia Syftestad and Una Boylan.
Following the completion of the 6k, the GW men were then tested in the 10k. Jacob Heredia headlined the race for GW, earning a 37th place finish with a time of 30:50.8. Behind Heredia, Michael Bohlke earned a spot in the GW record book with a time of 31:00.0, good for third-best in GW's history. The remaining Revolutionaries finished as follows: Austin Brotemarkle, Brayden Bayek, Jimmy Gildea, Charles Mbuthia and Colin Funk.
