MAKING HISTORY
Congratulations to men's cross country senior Michael Bohkle on becoming GW's first men's cross country runner to claim an individual Atlantic 10 title!
He dominated the field by more than 10 seconds, crossing the 8k finish line in 23:46 and earning the gold medal. GW women's cross country earned the runner-up finish in the team competition and placed four on the All-Conference team.

Women's swimming's Ava Topolewski topped her own program-record in the 1,000-yard freestyle vs. Navy, one of four events (200 fly, 500 free, 200 free relay) she won on the day. Overall, the GW Revs dominated the Mids, winning 12 of 16 events.
Stand by for record-setting academic news later this week when the NCAA releases its annual graduation rate report. Your Revolutionary student-athletes continue to Raise High in the classroom as well as in competition.
NOVEMBER IS FOR HOOPS
An offseason of hype gave way to a thrilling exhibition for our men's team, as Georgetown came to the Charles E. Smith Center for the first time since December 13, 1980.
The highly anticipated matchup vs. the Hoyas set a viewership record as the most-watched college basketball game on Monumental Sports Network since 2022. Local matchups matter for many reasons, and we'll continue to pursue them moving forward.
Half of GW's A-10 men's basketball games are slated for national television this season, including a visit from Dayton on Friday, February 27 for ESPN's first visit to Foggy Bottom since January 2017. Overall, GW will have 11 national TV appearances, the most for the men's program since 2017-18.
Combined with our game broadcasts and Raise High at GW Coaches Show on Monumental Sports Network to their 2.5 million regional subscribers, GW Athletics is delivering invaluable regional and national exposure to amplify the university brand.

We enjoyed the company of so many Buff & Blue faithful who joined us at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut for a pregame tailgate before men's basketball's top 75 win against South Florida.
There are more fun times to come on the road this season, including a visit to Army in West Point, NY on Tuesday, December 2, and a matchup with the defending national champion Florida Gators on Saturday, December 13 at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, FL.
We invite all GW fans and alumni in the Sunshine State to join us for a pregame tailgate at Yard House Sunrise at 12:30pm and to secure game tickets.
SUPPORTING STUDENT-ATHLETES

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the 1,400 donors across the globe who donated more than $500,000 in support of GW student-athletes through the 2025 Buff and Blue Fund Challenge.
This was the second-best year in the challenge's history, behind only last year's record-setting totals. Thank you to everyone who made a gift!
Your support is greatly appreciated, never taken for granted, and helps make possible numerous enhancements for GW student-athletes, including the new scoreboard at The Vern that will be installed ahead of lacrosse season this spring.
50TH ANNIVERSARY & HALL OF FAME WEEKEND

As we stay focused on our future, we also honor our past with our biannual Hall of Fame induction and the 50th Anniversary of the Charles E. Smith Center the weekend of December 5 –6.
The star-studded 2025 Hall of Fame Class features:
- Jessica Adair (women's basketball)
- Yinka Dare (men's basketball)
- Atakan Destici (men's water polo)
- Fran Dias (men's tennis)
- Lauren Whyte (volleyball)
- Special inductee Dr. Robert Chernak (administration)
The weekend of celebration is highlighted by women's basketball vs. Brown at 1pm and men's basketball vs. William & Mary at 6pm on Saturday. An all-sport letterwinner reunion will be held between the two basketball games from 3 – 5pm. Join us for both games through this special offer.

As part of the festivities, we will honor the jerseys of Megan Hogan (women's cross country) and Jonquel Jones (women's basketball) during the women's basketball game, and Yinka Dare (men's basketball) during the men's basketball game.
We embarked on this exciting new tradition earlier this month with the retirement of volleyball legend Svetlana Vtyurina's #5 and the honoring of men's basketball's record-setter Joe Holup's #16. Eight more jersey celebrations are still to come this year.
If there's an all-time GW great you believe is deserving of this highest of honors, submit your nomination to be considered in a future year.
HOMECOMING FOR A GW HALL OF FAME COACH

Make plans to join us on Sunday, December 21 for the homecoming of legendary GW head coach Joe McKeown in his final season on the sidelines. Tip-off is set for 1pm so reserve your seats for this special occasion.
