DAVIDSON, N.C. -Â GW tennis picked up its second Atlantic 10 win of the season on Friday afternoon, defeating Davidson, 4-2.
GW secured the doubles point via wins with its top two pairs. Stella Wiesemann and Gabriela Giraldo won at No. 1 doubles, 6-1, and Madison Lee and Victoria Sasinka triumphed at No. 2 doubles, 6-4.
Lee and Giraldo picked up singles victories to move GW on the precipice of a victory. Davidson picked up a pair of singles victories to close the gap, but Rena Ishiguchi secured the match for the Buff & Blue with a three-set victory at No. 6 singles.
GW will be back in action on Saturday afternoon with a matinee at UNCW at 1 p.m.
