Men’s Soccer Hosts La Salle for Senior Day Saturday

WASHINGTON - The George Washington University men's soccer team is back at home for the final match of the 2024 regular season when it hosts La Salle on Saturday at the GW Soccer Field. The Revolutionaries will honor five graduating members of the team in a pregame Senior Day ceremony ahead of the 1:00 p.m. kickoff, and the match will air live on ESPN+.

Five Revolutionaries will be honored ahead of Saturday's match during a Senior Day ceremony. GW Athletics thanks goalkeeper Richard Raupp, midfielder Sean Vaghedi, midfielder Will Turner, defender Jared DeMott and defender Santiago Labarca for their contributions to the GW community.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
La Salle enters play on Saturday at 5-7-4 and 2-3-2 in the A-10, currently seeded in the eighth and final position for the A-10 Championship. The Explorers are coming off a 1-1 draw in its regular-season home finale vs. VCU.
Three Explorers are tied for the team lead with three goals apiece: defender Americo Pereira, midfielder Yuval Nimrodi and forward Sean Yurgel. Midfielder Drew Blackwell leads La Salle with six assists. Goalkeeper Filip Sabatti has made all but one start for the Explorers and has a 1.32 goals allowed average and .708 save percentage. The all-time series between GW and La Salle is tied at 11-11-3. The Revolutionaries are 2-0-1 in the last three matches in the series.
