Men’s Soccer Battles St. Bonaventure to a Scoreless Draw

WASHINGTON - The George Washington University men's soccer team (2-8-2, 0-3-1 A-10) and St. Bonaventure (4-5-3, 1-1-2 A-10) played to a scoreless tie on Wednesday afternoon at the GW Soccer Field. GW earns its first point in the A-10 standings ahead of Saturday's penultimate home match vs. Saint Joseph's.

GW was outshot, 18-8, including 10-1 in shots on goal.

GW goalkeeper Tom MaCauley made a career-high nine saves. St. Bonaventure's 10th shot on goal was credited as a team save.

Will Turner paced GW with two shots, while Pat Altamirano had GW's lone shot on goal.

Five yellow cards were issued, three to GW and two to St. Bonaventure. Jared DeMott (38th minute), Louis Crofts (58th minute) and Colin Prendergast were cautioned for GW, along with Gabriel Addo (33rd minute) and Kenzo Brito (45th minute) for St. Bonaventure.
