Men’s Soccer Hosts Pair of A-10 Matches

WASHINGTON - The George Washington University men's soccer team (2-8-1, 0-3-0 A-10) plays at home after three consecutive road games for a pair of A-10 contests at the GW Soccer Field. On Wednesday, the Revolutionaries will host St. Bonaventure (4-5-2, 1-1-1 A-10) at 1:00 p.m., in a match that will be streamed on ESPN+. Then on Saturday, GW welcomes Saint Joseph's (2-8-1, 0-3-0 A-10) to The Vern for another A-10 matinee with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.
DOWN THE STRETCH
Six matches remain in the regular season, five of which are A-10 matchups. The Revolutionaries are still looking for their first points in the conference, but have a golden opportunity with two matches at home this week. GW is four points out of a playoff position but have enough time to right the ship with just under one month to go in the regular season.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
St. Bonaventure arrives at The Vern on Wednesday at 4-5-2 and 1-1-1 in conference, coming off a 3-1 home victory over Davidson. Andres Javitt leads the Bonnies with three goals and three assists, which includes a game-winning goal against Robert Morris. Nicolas Pucci leads the Bonnies in goal with a 2.00 goals against average and .667 save percentage in 10 starts. St. Bonaventure's full season stats can be found here. Saint Joseph's is 2-8-1 overall and 0-3 in the A-10, and the Hawks will play a midweek match at home vs. La Salle before making the trip to Washington, D.C. this weekend.
