Women's Indoor Track Sees Success at Patriot Games

Led by grad student Rachel Horowitz's second-place finish in the 200m dash on Saturday, the George Washington women's indoor track team saw several Top 10 finishes at George Mason's Patriot Games.
Janae Russell (27.12, 8th place) and Kamryn Holness (27.19, 10th place) also finished among the leaders in the 40-woman field in the 200, while Horowitz blazed to her spot in second in 25.64, just .02 off the lead.
Rita Mazumder also enjoyed a solid day Saturday, placing 7th out of 34 runners in the 800m in a time of 2:21.29.
Sarah Mitchell showed her wheels in the 1,000m in an eighth-place in 3:05.49 out of 23 competitors, just ahead of teammate Lola Dinneen in 3:06.43 (10th).
Una Boylan and Olivia Syftestad finished back-to-back in the mile, finishing 9th and 10th out of 42 distance runners in 5:08.24 and 5:14.15, respectively.
