Bohlke, Mitchell Named to A-10 Outdoor Track All-Rookie Team

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - GW outdoor track first-years Michael Bohlke and Sarah Mitchell were named to the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track All-Rookie team, it was announced on Tuesday.
Both Bohlke and Mitchell earned the honor by posting the fastest time of all A-10 rookies at a specific event during the spring season. For Bohlke, his time of 3:47.31 in the 1500m at the A-10 Championships was not only the sixth-fastest time at the event, but was also the best for A-10 rookies this season.
The honor caps a strong debut campaign for Bohlke, who was named All-Rookie and All-Conference in cross country after finishing 15th at the A-10 Championship in the fall.
Likewise, Mitchell had the best time in the 1500m for A-10 rookies when she finished fifth in the event at the conference championship in a time of 4:29.40. The honor completes the trifecta for Mitchell, who was also named All-Rookie during the cross country and indoor seasons.
In cross country, Mitchell was 14th at the A-10 Championship to earn All-Rookie and All-Conference honors. During the indoor season, Mitchell posted the fastest mile among rookies and finished fourth at the A-10 Championship, one spot out of All-Conference designation.
