Chambliss posts 39.375 in the all-around
RALEIGH, N.C. - Deja Chambliss and Kendall Whitman represented GW gymnastics on the regional stage at NC State on Thursday, with Chambliss competing in the all-around and Whitman on floor.
Chambliss earned a 39.375 in the all-around after scoring a 9.900 on vault, a 9.800 on bars, a 9.825 on beam and a 9.825 on floor. The Chesterfield, Va., native finished eighth in the all-around across both sessions and finished in a five-way tie for fifth on vault with her fifth 9.900+ this season.
Whitman scored a 9.750 on floor in her NCAA Regional debut. Whitman earned nine scores above the 9.800 mark this season to help qualify her for the regional selection.
Chambliss earned a 39.375 in the all-around after scoring a 9.900 on vault, a 9.800 on bars, a 9.825 on beam and a 9.825 on floor.
