WASHINGTON – GW women's tennis will add Madison Lee and Victoria Sasinka to its roster next fall, Head Coach George Rodriguez has announced.
Madison Lee, Mississauga, Ontario
High School: IFT J5 Singles Champion in 2022 … Ontario Provincial Championship U16 Singles Champion in 2021 … Ontario Provincial Championship U18 Singles Finalist in 2021 … 4th place singles finisher at Canadian National Championship U16 in 2021 … Canadian National Championship U16 Doubles Finalist in 2021.
Rodriguez on Lee: "What a huge addition in Madison! She brings a high level of talent and a will to succeed, which will strengthen our team. She has the intangibles in heart, passion and grit, which I look for in a player. Her work ethic on the court and in the classroom will be an asset to those around her. I'm excited to see how far she will go."
Lee on choosing GW: "I chose GW for its excellent tennis program, exceptional academics and beautiful campus. I look forward to building cohesive relationships with my teammates and coaching staff."
Victoria Sasinka, Bradenton, Fla.
High School: ITF singles finalist and ITF doubles champion while attending IMG Academy in Florida.
Rodriguez on Sasinka: "I'm extremely excited to have Victoria join our GW family. She is a powerhouse five-star recruit from IMG and brings a complete all-around aggressive game. Victoria has a high ceiling that we can't wait to keep developing and watch her grow. Her passion for the game and bubbly personality will greatly fit our program."
Sasinka on choosing GW: "Meeting the tennis team once was enough to know I would fit in and have the chance to perfect my game and expand my education at GW."
