Robles adds former conference champion to staff
WASHINGTON -Â GW women's rowing head coach Marci Robles has announced the addition of Ashley Myles to the team's coaching staff as an assistant coach.
"We're so excited to welcome Ashley to the GWWR family," Robles said. "Her enthusiasm, passion for teaching, and experience in working with novices are exactly what we were looking for as our program continues to grow. Ashley's commitment to helping this team be a visible display of discipline and excellence is clear, and we're thrilled to have her on board!"
Myles comes to D.C. after serving as a volunteer assistant at North Carolina in 2020-21. A level II USRowing certified coach, Myles managed all aspects of the novice program with the Tar Heels and developed a weekly team culture program.
Prior to her time in Chapel Hill, Myles served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at her alma mater, Washington College, in 2019-20. There, she oversaw the recruiting process from beginning-to-end and was also responsible for the team's travel plans and social media presence.
Myles began her coaching career at Franklin and Marshall College from 2015-18, where she helped guide the 2V8+ to the program's best finish at the 2017 Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championship.
A talented rower herself, Myles was a four-year member of the V8+ at Washington College, winning three MARC Championships and competing in three NCAA DIvision III Championships. She graduated in 2015 with a degree in Business Management.
