GW earns 6-1 victory over the Patriots
FAIRFAX, Va. – The GW women's tennis team earned its first Atlantic 10 conference victory on Tuesday, topping George Mason, 6-1.
The Buff and Blue earned the doubles point behind a pair of victories from Stella Wiesemann / Sarah Bodewes and Alexis Nelson / Lindsay Thompson.
In singles, Wiesemann, Nelson, Bodewes, Alexandra Vesikallio and Charlotte Bell all earned two-set victories for GW.
Wiesemann, a first-year from Jena, Germany, leads the team with five wins in singles play.
