Dukes snap GW’s three-game win streak
HARRISONBURG, Va. – The GW lacrosse team fell to No. 24 James Madison on Tuesday, 23-7.

The Dukes came out on the attack, scoring six straight within the first 15 minutes of play. Sophia Watkinson scored for the Buff and Blue, putting a halt on JMU's run.

Twenty seconds later, Kendall Lambert scored her first goal of the season, cutting the Dukes' lead to four.Â

For the remainder of the first half, both teams went on separate scoring runs, but JMU held the 13-5 advantage going into halftime.

JMU tallied three more goals at the start of the second half until Watkinson was able to freeze the scoring-run once again. The Dukes maintained a 16-6 lead.Â

After three more goals from JMU, Lambert was able to score her second of the game, but the Dukes tacked on four more to set the final margin and end the Buff and Blue's three-game win streak.
