Alejandra Ramirez Signs with Women's Tennis

Ramirez will officially join the program in the fall
WASHINGTON- The George Washington women's tennis team will add Alejandra Ramirez to its roster this fall, head coach Torrie Browning announced on Wednesday.
High School: Recognized as one of the top players in the state of Texas, Ramirez has been rated among the top 1,200 in the International Tennis Federation rankings. Ramirez has won several Texas Sectional Tournaments and has competed in all of the major junior tournaments: Orange Bowl, Eddie Herr and National Clay Courts.Â
Academically, Ramirez attended Boca Prep through their online program. She served as the president of the National Honor Society and treasurer of the student council. She has been awarded the International Baccalaureate for Mathematical Studies and Literature award since junior year of high school. She also represented Boca Prep at InterSEK 2018, an academic competition, in Budapest, Hungary.
Ramirez on coming to GW: "I'm super thrilled to continue my tennis career at GW and even more excited to be a part of this welcoming and powerful team. I can't wait for the next four years!"
Browning on Ramirez: "I am very excited for Alejandra to begin with us this upcoming fall. She really has great potential and has all the qualities you could want in a student-athlete. Alejandra will continue to grow here at GW and I'm excited for what the future brings."
