Cross Country Finishes Regular Season with Dominant Showing at UVA XC23 Invitational

The Colonials set seven personal bests during the event
Earlysville, Va. - The men's and women's cross country teams continued to run in commanding fashion Friday at the UVA XC23 Invitational. For the third straight race, James Glockenmeier and Peri Pavicic led the Colonials' effort, which included seven personal best times and five top-20 individual finishes.
NOTES
• The Colonial women continued their trend of impressive team showings against a strong field, finishing third overall and first among A-10 competitors.
• For the fourth time this season, at least four women's runners finished in the top-20 of the race's final standings.
• Four out of the women's 10 runners set new personal bests in the 5K distance.
• The GW men finished with two top-30 finishes, and six finishes in the top 60, en route to a sixth-place team finish.
• Junior James Glockenmeier paced the Colonial men for the third event in a row, placing 20th overall, and chopping three seconds off of his personal best in the 8K, finishing in a time of 24:52.4.
