Name:Â Lauren Bennett
Hometown:Â Hingham, Mass.Â
Year:Â Junior
Major:Â Criminal Justice
Lauren Bennett recently began her new role as SAAC President, helping lead her fellow student-athletes through the 2020-21 school year. Additionally, she has taken part in numerous campus committees, serving as the voice of the student-athlete.Â
"Rowing is a sport that tends to recognize team effort and success instead of the individual, so we're thrilled at the opportunity to recognize a member of our family," said head coach Marci Robles. "Lauren Bennett has shown tremendous poise and leadership in her role as SAAC president so far, and that's no surprise to anyone. She is a leader on our team both in athleticism and mindset, and we're excited that she's able to share her strengths with the rest of the GW Athletics community."
