Women’s Rowing Starts Strong at GW Invite

Colonials finish first in V8, 2V8, and 3V8
WASHINGTON – The George Washington women's rowing team picked up a trio of wins on its home course Friday to open the 31st GW Invitational.
GW's varsity 8 kicked off the day of racing on a high note, topping MIT with a time of 6:44.70.
The Colonials' second varsity eight clocked in at 6:49.30 to finish 17 seconds clear of second-place MIT (7:08.80).
GW's third varsity eight rounded out the Colonials' perfect day on the water with a first-place time of 7:18.00 over Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's (7:50.30).
The GW invitational concludes Saturday with the action set to begin at 7:30 a.m.
