Women's Swimming & Diving Reaches Podium Twice

Colonials sit third at A-10 Championship
The Colonials earned silver in the 200-yard medley relay and bronze in the 800-yard freestyle relay on the first of four days at the SPIRE Institute. With 66 points, they sit third in the team standings behind only defending champion Duquesne (72 points) and Fordham (70).
To open the meet, the team of Andrea Ho, Emily Zhang, Meghan Burton and Rebecca Smolcic snapped a program record in the 200 medley relay by finishing in 1:41.03, just seven-hundredths of a second off Fordham's winning pace.
Later, Zhang was part of a bronze-winning effort in the 800 free relay. The senior partnered with Gemma Atherley, Jackie Torrez and Andrea Moussier to touch in 7:20.18.
UP NEXT: The individual swimming events begin Thursday at the A-10 Championships with preliminary races beginning at 10 a.m. and finals at 6:30 p.m. The full schedule for the four-day meet is available here.
