GW swimming & diving begins its 2026-27 title chase this weekend with their season-opening meets, as men's and women's swimming visits William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., and men's and women's diving duals Navy in Annapolis, Md. Results for swimming at William & Mary will be available on Meet Mobile, while scores for diving at Navy can be found on Divemeets.com.
GW men's swimming & diving begins its title defense as they are looking to capture its seventh consecutive A10 title this season. The Buff & Blue scored 784.93 points at last year's championship to win its ninth conference title in program history, each of which came in the last ten years. A seventh consecutive championship this season would be an A10 men's swimming & diving record for most consecutive championships in a row.
GW's men's team returns a plethora of talent from 2025-26, which includes: NCAA Championships qualifier Holden Thomas, the A10 Most Outstanding Rookie Andres Brooks, and A10 All-Conference First Team student-athletes Allesandro Borsato, Shae Stratton and Ben Sosnowski. The Revolutionaries have also reloaded its roster with five first-years: Mitchell Bailey, Efe Isler, Maika Ognoskie, JJ Phillips and Kaan Varol.
GW women's swimming & diving is looking to regain its place at the top of the conference after finishing in second place to Richmond by a narrow 27.5 point margin. The Revolutionaries had won five of the previous six A10 titles dating back to 2019-20.
The women's side graduated both NCAA Championships competitors, Ava Topolewski and Olivia Paquette, but returned a strong group of swimmers and divers, including A10 All-Conference First Team selection Natalie Sens and CSCAA Academic All-District Selection Colleen MacWilliams. The Revolutionaries added eight first-year student-athletes to the group to help the team back to the top of the conference: Kaia Abbadi-MacIntosh, Eden Brenner, Carmen Bunt, Nerea Gutiérrez, Carla Nunn-Eckert, Alex Orris, NamAnh Truong and Emily Weingust.
