Women's Tennis Bows out in A-10 Semis

Junior Maria Siopacha and sophomore Melis Bayraktaroglu took a doubles win at the top spot (6-3), but the Minutewomen claimed the final two doubles matches to secure the early point.
In singles play, sophomore Diana Kussainova continued her momentum from the quarterfinal round and helped the Colonials tie the score at one apiece with her straight-set victory at No. 6 (6-1, 6-1). Senior Marie-Louise Decamps added to the Buff and Blue effort with her triumph at No. 4 (6-2, 6-3), but UMass came out on top at Nos. 5, 2 and 3 to secure the victory.
GW closes the season with its most wins (14-8) since the 2012 season under the direction of head coach Torrie Browning. The Colonials also posted a program-best 6-1 conference record during the regular season.
