Eskay, Minda, and Curtis to join Colonials in 2019
WASHINGTON – George Washington women's soccer head coach Michelle Demko has announced that three student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Colonials starting in the 2019 season.
The trio consists of Isabelle Eskay (Damascus, Md.), Tori Minda (Garden City, N.Y.), and Haley Curtis (Strongville, OH).

All-Area Honorable Mention as a freshman … recognized on the All-Area First Team as a sophomore and junior … also recognized on the All-State Second Team at the conclusion of her junior season … helped her team to the Class 3A State Championship title as a sophomore and the Class 4A State Finals as a junior … two-time team captain … appeared on the High School All-American Game Watch List in her final season … earned Highest Academic Excellence all four years … member of the National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, and National Science Honor Society … intends to major in engineering and applied sciences.
Coach Demko on Eskay: "I am excited for Isabelle to join our soccer family. She is a great local product who will fit right into our system as a holding center midfielder. Her athleticism, ideas, and successful passing range will increase our strength on an already talented line as a ball winner. Additionally, she has an incredibly high commitment to academics which will serve her well as she continues her education at GW."

Coach Demko on Minda: "Tori is a great addition to our attacking midfield unit. She understands how to escape pressure, runs at players well, and is dangerous in the final third with her quickness and ability to cover ground. I look for her to be an immediate impact competitively. Academically, she will represent our program well with regard to classroom success. She is a proven academic achiever. Her focus in the classroom matches her intensity on the field. I believe both will be a reason she succeeds at GW."

Played for Magnificat High School and the Internationals Soccer Club … involved in the ECNL Player Development Program in 2018 … recognized on the 2017-18 ECNL Ohio Valley Conference Players to Watch List … helped her team to the U17 ECNL Playoffs for the North American Cup … also helped her team to the U16 ECNL Playoffs in 2016 … a 2016 Ohio Elite Girls College Showcase Champion … Super Y League Midwest Champion and Ohio North State Cup Finalist in 2015 … member of the National Honor Society … intends to major in international affairs and economics.
Coach Demko on Curtis: "Haley will be a very dominant player on the backline for us. What makes her exciting is her ability to play centrally or in the outside back position. She comes from a high level club where next level tactics and technical proficiency are stressed at every opportunity. Haley has the ability to make a big impact in our program right away. I look for her to come in and insert her energy and competitive mentality from day one. Haley's success has also been in the classroom for many years. She possesses an inner discipline that will make her a success student at GW. I am beyond excited for her to join our program."
