Sara Grubac provided the match clinching victory for the Colonials in their season opener against Harvard on Saturday. With the match tied at 3-3, Grubac needed to defeat Harvard's Neha Gupta, ranked 113 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), to secure the GW win. The Belgrade, Serbia, native took the first set in extra points, defeating Gupta 7-6(4). With only one more win needed to edge the Crimson, Grubac continued to battle and came up on top, 6-4, to complete the 4-3 GW victory.
