Men's Cross Country Finishes Third at A-10 Championship

LEESBURG, Va. - The regionally-ranked George Washington men's cross country team put forth its finest postseason performance in team history on Saturday morning by finishing in third place out of 14 teams at the Atlantic 10 Championship at Oatlands Plantation.
Notes
- GW totaled 95 points to finish in third place for the best team finish in program history.
- The Colonials' previous best finish was fourth place out of eight teams in 1993.
- For the second time in program history GW had two harriers earn Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors.
- Graduate student Matt Lange finished in sixth place overall in 25:26.60.
- Senior Carter Day finished in 11th place in 25:34.60.
- All five of GW's scoring runners placed in the top 30.
- Of the six harriers that had previously competed at an Atlantic 10 Championship, three student-athletes (Carter Day, Chris Shaffer, Charles Arnold) put forth their best performance in both finishing time and overall place. Additionally, two harriers (Andrew Weber, Colin Wills) put forth career-best placements.
