WASHINGTON - The George Washington women's tennis squad dropped a 4-0 contest to No. 46 Harvard on Sunday at the Southeast Tennis Center after defeating Howard on Saturday to split the weekend.
The Colonials (4-3) fell at the Nos. 1 and 3 doubles positions to give the early doubles point to Harvard (5-4).
The Crimson then snagged victories at No. 6 and 5 singles in straight sets before clinching the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win in first-flight action.
The Colonials return to the court on March 8 when they take on No. 7 Virginia, who claims four top-50 ranked singles players including the nation's No. 2 Julia Elbaba, in Charlottesville.
