ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The George Washington men's cross country team totaled 142 points, including two top-30 finishes, to take sixth place out of 10 competing teams at the Navy Invitational on Saturday morning at the United States Naval Academy Golf Course.

Junior Ryan Tucker tallied his 10th career top-finish as he led the Colonials in 20th place overall out of 89 competitors. The Rutherford, New Jersey, native navigated the 8,000-meter course in 25:35.30 on a cool, damp morning.

Freshman Ryan DePinto, the reigning Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week, finished in 27th place in his second career collegiate race. He ran the course in 25:53.62.

Senior John-Louis Pane, who finished in first place in last week's season debut, ran the course in 26:00.92 to claim 31st-place overall.

Sophomore Seamus Roddy was next across the line for the Colonials, finishing in 53rd place in 27:13.28. He was followed closely by junior Kyle Ames, who finished in 27:20.99 for 57th place.

Senior Tyler Gillies rounded out GW's scorers with a 74th-place finish, running the course in 28:45.86.

Saturday marked GW's third straight sixth-place finish at the Navy Invitational.

GW returns to action at the George Mason Invitational on Oct. 4 in Leesburg, Virginia.
