Tucker Paces GW Men's Cross Country at Navy Invite

Junior Ryan Tucker tallied his 10th career top-finish as he led the Colonials in 20th place overall out of 89 competitors. The Rutherford, New Jersey, native navigated the 8,000-meter course in 25:35.30 on a cool, damp morning.
Freshman Ryan DePinto, the reigning Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week, finished in 27th place in his second career collegiate race. He ran the course in 25:53.62.
Senior John-Louis Pane, who finished in first place in last week's season debut, ran the course in 26:00.92 to claim 31st-place overall.
Sophomore Seamus Roddy was next across the line for the Colonials, finishing in 53rd place in 27:13.28. He was followed closely by junior Kyle Ames, who finished in 27:20.99 for 57th place.
Senior Tyler Gillies rounded out GW's scorers with a 74th-place finish, running the course in 28:45.86.
Saturday marked GW's third straight sixth-place finish at the Navy Invitational.
GW returns to action at the George Mason Invitational on Oct. 4 in Leesburg, Virginia.
