GW Women's Tennis' Egger, Radosavljevic End Run at Regionals

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The impressive run of George Washington women's tennis duo Grace Egger and Teodora Radosavljevic at the 2014 USTA/ITA Atlantic Regional Championships came to an end on Monday morning with a hard-fought loss in the doubles quarterfinal round at Virginia Tech's Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.
After winning three straight matches to reach the quarterfinals - which included knocking off the tournament's No. 2 seed and 55th-ranked pair from Maryland - the sophomore-freshman duo was edged in a tiebreaker, 8-7 (5) by No. 6 seed Virginia Tech's Raluca Mita and Ilinca Stoica.
Egger and Radosavljevic complete fall action with a team-best doubles record of 4-2.
The Colonials open the spring 2015 season on Sunday, Jan. 18 with a home match against Morgan State.
