GW Women's Tennis Concludes Cornell Showdown

ITHACA, N.Y. - The George Washington women's tennis team concluded the final day of the Cornell Showdown with singles matches against the host Big Red on Sunday morning at the Reis Tennis Center.
Freshman Teodora Radosavljevic and junior Lana Robins picked up singles victories for the Colonials on the second day of the two-day event. Radosavljevic earned a tiebreaker victory over Cornell's Dena Tanenbaum by set scores of 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5), and Robins rolled to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Priyanka Shah.
Rookie Marie-Louise Decamps fell to Lizzie Stewart, 2-6, 3-6, and sophomore Grace Egger dropped a 1-6, 2-6 match to Marika Cusick. Sophomore Allison Hansen was downed by Alexandra D'Ascenzo, 0-6, 1-6, and junior Egle Jakuciunaite fell to Madison Stevens, 1-6, 5-7.
GW wraps the fall season at the USTA/ITA Atlantic Regional Championships, which run from Thursday, Oct. 16 through Monday, Oct. 20 in Blacksburg, Virginia.
