
Women's Tennis Win-Streak Snapped by Richmond, 5-2

RICHMOND, VA - The George Washington women's team suffered their first lost against an Atlantic 10 opponent this season, when the squad fell, 5-2, to Richmond on Saturday at the Westhampton Tennis Complex. The Colonials fall to 6-2 on the season, while the Spiders improve to 5-4.
GW's only wins came in the No. 3 and No. 4 singles matches. Freshman Leah Pascarella, at No. 3 singles, came back from behind to win 1-6, 6-1, 6-1. Sophomore Mimi Hamling won in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6(3).
The Colonials' Sunday, March 6, match against Morgan State at the Mount Vernon Tennis Center has been postponed due to weather. No make-up date has been set.
