WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington senior Ellen VanCleave was named MVP for Women's Rowing at GW's Senior Honors Luncheon Thursday on the GW campus.

Van Cleave's determination and work ethic during her senior season have earned her the women's rowing MVP award. A native of Brookfield, WI, she is a four-year rower and member of the Colonials' Varsity Eight since her sophomore year. This season, she was named First Team All-Atlantic 10 prior to helping GW Varsity Eight to the Grand Finals of the 2010 A-10 Championship.
