
Women's Tennis Fall to UMBC, 5-2

BALTIMORE, MD -- The George Washington women's tennis team fell to UMBC Saturday afternoon, 5-2, to close out the 2010 regular season.
GW's Michele Style and Mimi Hamling won at No. 1 doubles 8-1, but UMBC went on to secure the doubles point after winning both No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches.
In singles play, Jacqueline Corba at No 1 singles, who bounced back to win in three sets 6-7 (3), 7-5, 1-0 (9). Jennifer Hirsh won at No. 4 singles also in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
The Colonials will next head to the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship in St. Louis, MO on Friday, April 23.
