PRINCETON, NJ - The George Washington rowing teams continued their fall race schedule on Saturday at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, NJ. The men's and women's teams each competed in two events.
The men raced two boats in the Varsity 8 event, recording 22nd- and 34th-place finishes out of 38 crews. The varsity boat completed the three-mile course in 13:57.85 while the JV crew navigated the course in 14:33.30. The Varsity 8 event was won by the host school, Princeton University.
The men also had two boats in the Freshman Eight race, finishing in 20th- and 29th-place out of 33 crews. The `A' boat crossed the finish line in 14:54.66 while the `B' boat finished in 15:52.41.
The GW women's team competed in the Varsity Eight and Women's Four events. In the Varsity Eight, GW finished in 31st- and 39th-place of 45 crews. In the Women Four GW finished in 34th-place.
The men's team will conclude their fall racing schedule at the Novice Head Race in Charlottesville, VA on November 13. The women's will finish their fall schedule on November 6 against Virgina and Georgetown in Charlottesville.
