Sunday's Game: GW (11-3, 1-0 A-10) hosts Xavier (9-5, 1-0) in the only regular-season meeting this season.
• The Musketeers return to Smith Center for the first time since Jan. 19, 2008 when they prevailed, 74-66.
• Sunday's game marks the 33rd meeting between the teams in a series that dates back to 1984. Xavier joined the A-10 in 1995-96. Xavier leads the all-time series, 23-9 and is one of only two A-10 teams, along with Temple, that has a winning record against the Colonials at Smith Center at 8-5.
• Xavier has won the last four meetings and 13 of the last 15 overall.
• GW is coming off its sixth road victory of the season, a 78-71 triumph over St. Bonaventure (7-7, 0-1) Wednesday at the Reilly Center. Freshman Lasan Kromah poured in his career-high 23 points on 9-11 FGs and Damian Hollis added 12 points and seven rebounds.
• Sunday's game features the A-10's leading scorer in Xavier's Jordan Crawford (19.4 ppg) and the league's top free throw shooter in Terrell Holloway (.904, 47-of-52).
• Xavier is coming off a 68-62 victory over La Salle (7-7, 0-1) Thursday night in Philadelphia. Crawford led the Musketeers with 22 points and Jason Love grabbed a team-high eight rebounds as Xavier shot 39.3 percent (22-for-56) against the Explorers.
A Closer Look at Xavier... Xavier enters play Sunday with a 9-5 overall record, 1-0 in the A-10. Three Musketeers average double figure points led by Indiana transfer Jordan Crawford with an A-10 best 19.4 ppg and Terrell Holloway's 10.4 ppg. Jason Love leads the team in rebounding with 9.3 rpg while Crawford and Brad Redford have combined for 53 three-pointers. For the season, Xavier is averaging 78.4 points a game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field, 39 percent from long range and 70 percent from the line. XU is outrebounding opponents by 3.4 caroms a game and leads the A-10 in three team categories: scoring margin (+10.1), 3-Pt. FG % (.391) and defensive rebounds (28.5).
