Women's Tennis Finishes Season With Win

MONROEVILLE, PA - George Washington women's tennis team concluded the 2009 season with a win over Saint Joseph's, 4-0, in day two of the 2009 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship.
The Colonials faced the Hawks for the first time this season in second round of the consolation bracket, taking two of three doubles matches. Nadia Demidenko and Jacqui Corba defeated Jennifer Kedzierski and Laura Matz, 8-1, while Verena Knoedler and Zoe Krohn beat Katy Borden and Melissa Glick, 8-0.
In singles play, GW were victorious in flights one, two and six, including senior Madhuri Jha defeating Katy Borden 6-1, 0-6, 11-9. In the three other matches, GW was leading in each of them before time was called.
