Saturday's Game: GW (7-14, 1-8) faces Charlotte (8-15, 2-7) in the first of two meetings this season. The teams are set to meet again on Feb. 25 in Washington.
• GW is 2-7 on the road this season while Charlotte is 6-5 at home.

• GW is coming off a 68-57 loss to La Salle Wednesday at Smith Center. Damian Hollis led GW with 20 points and Rob Diggs added 11 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. The Colonials shot 41 percent from the field and outrebounded the Explorers, 34-32, but committed 16 turnovers and were whistled for two technical fouls in the first half. GW has dropped 12 of its last 13 games.
• Charlotte is coming off a 69-61 loss to Saint Louis Wednesday in its first trip to Chaifetz Arena. Charlie Coley scored a team-high 18 points with eight rebounds as the 49ers shot just 39 percent from the field. The 49ers have lost four of their last six and nine of 12.
A Closer Look at Charlotte... Charlotte enters play Saturday with an 8-15 overall record, 2-7 in the A-10. Charlotte's Lamont Mack is the only 49er averaging double figure points with 14.4 ppg while senior Charlie Coley leads the team in rebounding with 6.8 rpg. Junior DiJuan Harris leads the A-10 in assists (6.48) and the team in steals with 1.6 a game. For the season, the 49ers are shooting 40.7 percent from the field and averaging 68.9 points a game but are getting outrebounded by more than three caroms a game. Charlotte ranks second in the A-10 in offensive rebounding with 13.48 a game. Junior G Ian Andersen has a team-high 59 three-pointers on the year.
